OCR Customization

It'd be nice if OCR could be enabled on a folder by folder basis.  I don't need all images the indexer comes across to be OCR'd.

Like you, it's more of an on-the-fly option I'm looking for.  


Mainly because having the OCR enabled really slows down the initial indexing and I may want to OCR only a subfolder or when I download or create a series of screenshots from which I'd like to index the text.  


I'm looking forward to what Copernic has up their sleeves for the next release!

You can already do that, at least on a preset basis:

Tools  >  Options > Files   .... then make entry for which folder to index, and separate entries for any of its parent folders or subfolders you want to be skipped for indexing.


If you want to be able to index a folder on-the-fly, that is a feature that CDS is lacking and which I hope Copernic will urgently add.
