Copernic Desktop Search currently supports over 119 different file types for indexing and previewing.
It also supports adding file extensions to be indexed to better suit your needs.
However, adding new file types that aren't part of the software by default might result in having their file name only.
To manually add new file types :
- Open tools menu
- Options
- Advanced tab
- Click "Add" in the file type section
- type your new file extension
- Select whether its a document, music, pictures or video type.
- If you leave the "content indexing" on, CDS will try indexing their content using the internal extractors. However, doing so might result in slower performances.
