This might not be as well known so we thought we would help you out. First things first. Copernic does not index Windows folders by default. You can always add the file extensions of Windows folders you want to index by going to “Tools” -> “Options” -> “Advanced.” In the “File Types” area, you can add the desired file types. Also make sure that you have included in “Tools” -> “Options” -> “Files” the file path where these Windows files are stored.
Pertaining to SAM, SAM is a Windows system file and since it has no file extension and, therefore, Copernic will not be able to index it. However, if you are trying to locate it, you can locate it here: %SystemRoot%\system32\config\SAM andalsounder this registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SAM
Finally, "paused by system monitoring" means that Copernic is in an “auto-paused” state when running in Smart or Restricted modes to limit the system resources used.
