The ability to monitor to use "Tools > View > Indexing Status" to activate the Indexing Status pane is a VITAL function, to be able to monitor the activity of CDS. It is vital because CDS has some quirks that (at least for some users) cause indexing to stall and never restart. (For example, CDS can stall when coming out of hibernation.)
A problem is that CDS always starts with the pane turned off, and to use it must be manually turned on each time. So, please provide an item in Options for the pane to be automatically activated on start up.
