I konw the file or the text I am looking for exists in a specific big folder. I want to limit the search for the keyword or the text to this folder not in the whole computer.

If you select one on of the search type tabs for All, Files, Pictures, Music or Videos (but not email or chat), the the last search field in the left side pane is "System Folder". Click in that field and then select Browse from the drop-down menu, and you will get a screen for selecting the folder you want to search in.

Do I need to index this folder before searching? Or does the folder search index the folder "on the fly"?

@filefolder
Finds items contains inside a specific folder.
Use the @filefolder operator to search for items that are contained inside a specific folder.
Does this do what you want Fouad?

This drop down menu for System Folder is only 2 or 3 lines high - very difficult to read the contents and pick a folder name from the middle of a list - too easy to scroll past it 1. Can this drop down list be made to show say 5-10 lines please? 2. Can the Browse folder go to the Most Recently Used folder? Currently it defaults to some system folder that is of no interest to anyone

A related feature many have been requesting for years (and which I desperately need), is the ability toimmediately re-index a selected folder. A search in a browsed-to system folder won't find the needed file if the file has not yet been indexed. This re-indexing could best be done from the right-click menu within any file manager program -- if Copernic will provide that feature.
