Copernic Desktop Search can show or hide one or more search categories in the main window. However, you must display a search category to use it. You cannot search for a particular type of file unless its category is displayed in the main window.
Show the search categories in the main window:
- In the Tools menu, click Options...
- Select the Advanced tab.
- In the Categories to display section, check the checkboxes corresponding to the categories you wish to use.
- Click Back to main view or Escape key to confirm and close the Options window.
NOTE: THE DOCUMENTS INDEXED FOR THE REMOVED CATEGORY WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY REMOVED WHEN RETURNING IN THE MAIN WINDOW AND THE ADDED CATEGORIES WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY INDEXED WHEN RETURNING IN THE MAIN WINDOW.
