File menu - Exit Copernic Desktop Search

You can completely Exit Copernic. However, please note that when Desktop Search is not running, real-time indexing and scheduled index updates will not start.

In order to keep a fresh updated index, instead of completely exiting CDS, simply reduce your Window in the tray (with the X in the upper right corner). It will remain running in the background to perform index update.

To completely exit within the software:

1. In the File menu
2. Select Exit

To completely exit from the tray icon:

1. Right click on the tray icon 
2. Select Exit/Close Window

To reduce Window only (and keep Copernic running in background):

1. Click on the X in the upper right corner of the main screen
