Prefix search - How it works

Modified on Wed, 18 Jan, 2023 at 10:50 AM

Copernic Desktop Search uses prefix search.

Research by prefix: Find a word that begins with a prefix

Example:
Keyword: Ball

Results you can expect: Ball, Balloon, Ballet

Results that won't be found: Baseball, racquetball, volleyball

It is important to be aware that prefix works in the same way with numbers. If you are searching for a document titled 105Horse, the article will be found using 105 alone but will not be found using Horse
